About The Position

Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Market Development to departmentalize Heavy Duty Sales and Operations for assigned target markets/stores. Develops, coordinates and conducts Heavy Duty Fleet Solutions products and programs in these markets. Trains personnel to use Weblink in procuring CARQUEST merchandise and product information. Plans short-term and long-term training goals on the company’s objectives for Heavy Duty Fleet Solutions. Conducts training research and pilot programs. Maintains accurate records and tracking of training activities. Acts as a consultant and resource person on policies and opportunities relating to Specialty Markets Heavy Duty Fleet Solutions activities. Develops, coordinates and reviews written and computer generated communication for effectiveness and clarity. Develops marketing events (process and products) through input from customers, outside marketing sources, internal marketing planning, and input from senior management. Assists with gathering and reporting of market intelligence. Collaborates with marketing, sales, and product development on training materials, promotional events and operations. Requirements

  • Requires good analytical skills and strong presentation skills.
  • Able to develop innovative ideas which result in improved productivity and cost reductions.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) for development of training materials and tracking training data.
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated; ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with other departments, peers and business partners.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify operational problems, recommend optimum solutions and follow through to resolution.
  • Demonstrated organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Understanding of automotive terms and knowledge of vehicle equipment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Sales experience and specific product knowledge of the Heavy Duty Fleet Solutions product lines preferred.
  • Travel is required.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) require, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MVR Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certification not required, but desired.
  • Sales experience and specific product knowledge of the Heavy Duty Fleet Solutions product lines preferred.
