About The Position

Harrah’s is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty EVS Cleaner to join our Environmental Services team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment throughout all areas of the property. Key responsibilities include detailed floor care (stripping, waxing, shampooing), carpet and window cleaning, seasonal groundskeeping, and general exterior maintenance. The ideal candidate will consistently provide exceptional customer service while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Requirements

Must have valid driver’s license
Must have clean driving record (no-at fault accidents)
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of floor cleaning equipment.
General knowledge of chemicals, shampoo, strippers and wax.
Must be capable of working in high places using lifts or harnesses.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
Lifts up to a maximum of 50 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries up to 50 pounds.
Position requires 20% standing, 5% sitting, 75% walking.
Requires frequent bending, twisting, climbing and stooping; very frequent pushing, kneeling and reaching overhead.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino and remote buildings.
Must be able to read, understand and tolerate the usage of cleaning chemicals.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and machines.
Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.

Nice To Haves

Prior cleaning, maintenance or hotel housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides fast and flawless service to every customer.
Strips and waxes floors.
Shampoos and spot cleans carpeted areas.
Uses extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machine and special vacuum cleaner and scrubber.
Moves office furnishings and items as directed.
Responsible for grounds keeping to include seasonal plan changes.
Cleans interior and exterior windows as directed.
Presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
Scrubs and cleans all exteriors.
Cleans overheads, ceilings and vents.
Cleans all Harrah’s exterior owned property including sidewalks, parking lots, valet areas and all other areas as directed.
