About The Position

Summary of Functions: Supervises schedules, coordinates, plans, organizes, trains, and inspects housekeeping HCC program by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- Internal Controls, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures. Assists in development of and follows the cleaning program and use of cleaning chemicals for all lobbies, lounges, food venues and kitchens at the resort and casino. All furniture, walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, sills, corridors, elevators, and stairways in the above assigned areas Directs and coaches housekeeping HCC crews in the care of gaming equipment, floors, carpets, chairs, offices, stairwells, kitchens, storerooms, restrooms and public areas. Keeps current and available to staff all material related to safety, like material safety data sheets and OSHA guidelines. Conducts team staff meeting at least once weekly. Interprets policy, procedures, enforces safety practices, department goals, objectives and quality standards. Provides continuing training and retraining of H.C.C. personnel. Trains team members in equipment care and use. Develops work schedules, monitors attendance and disciplines team members as necessary. Evaluates team member’s performance and provides constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement in a timely manner. Monitors staffing levels with emphasis on increasing efficiencies and productivity by improving work schedules and work practices. Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels. Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. Ensures that highest possible standards of guest satisfaction and Team Member relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner conducive to that goal. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months experience in housekeeping.
  • Two or more years supervisory related experience.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
  • Ability to schedule training for housekeeping on floor machines, chemical use, etc.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads, associates and the public.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Work Permit.
  • Valid Driver’s License (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle).
  • Mandatory high lift training required before operating machinery.
  • Hepatitis A & B shots.
  • Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound.
  • Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks.
  • Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time.
  • Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally.
  • Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
