At Frankston Hospital, our Cleaning Supervisors are the quiet champions behind a safe, welcoming, and high-performing hospital environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee daily cleaning operations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure the highest standards of hygiene, infection control, and customer service are consistently met.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role - MUST be within a hospital.
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention, control protocols, and hospital hygiene standards.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and training cleaning teams.
  • Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • A commitment to safety leadership and HSEQ principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to manage rosters, staffing levels, and competing priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating daily cleaning operations across the hospital.
  • Conducting inspections and implementing detailed cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Enforcing infection prevention and control procedures, including high-risk and biohazard areas.
  • Managing staff rosters, performance, onboarding, and ongoing training.
  • Overseeing deep cleaning programs and post-discharge room sanitation.
  • Managing cleaning equipment, chemicals, inventory, and procurement of supplies.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and participation in performance meetings.
