Requirements

5+ years of experience in civil construction, specifically pipe fitting and underground utilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project layouts.
Expertise in trench safety, system installation, and pressure testing.
Physical capability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in tight and outdoor environments.
Strong communication and leadership skills with attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities

Lay out and install piping systems based on blueprints and specifications.
Measure, cut, and assemble PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron pipe.
Align and install pipe systems for water, sewer, and storm drainage.
Conduct hydrostatic and air pressure tests to ensure system integrity.
Operate specialized tools including lasers, tampers, saws, and trench boxes.
Backfill, grade, and compact trenches following installation.
Collaborate closely with equipment operators and site supervisors.
Document completed work and report field updates or discrepancies.
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and Alpha safety protocols.
Provide on-site guidance to junior laborers and promote a culture of safety and pride.
Demonstrate professionalism, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
