Heavy Civil Skilled Laborer
About The Position
We are seeking a Skilled Laborer to join our team and support the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. Responsibilities Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform skilled labor tasks in support of grading, earthwork, utilities, concrete, and structure crews Assist with layout, measurements, and elevation control using basic survey tools Execute hand grading, trimming, and fine detail work around structures, utilities, and finished surfaces Support concrete operations including form setting, reinforcing placement, pours, and finishing prep Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices Other duties as assigned Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in construction or related industry preferred
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team

- Finishing knowledge is a plus
