About The Position

Responsible for the proper operation of heat treating furnaces and related equipment to perform all assigned operations relative to changing the physical properties of metal to obtain the desired qualities Sets furnace temperature controls to suit type of materials and process Operations involve such procedures as hardening, tempering, normalizing, and annealing a wide range of alloys Delivers parts from forge shop to appropriate staging area in plant Data collects information required on job Quench operation Operate cranes and powered industrial trucks as necessary Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Knowledge of metal work processes acquired through formal academic training and/or experience earned through past employment
Above-average reasoning and thinking skills
Possess a team attitude and have respect for others
Basic computer skills for data entry

Responsibilities
