About The Position

Syndeo is hiring for a 3 rd shift lab technician for a metal processing plant in Wichita, KS. In this position you will be performing hardness testing and support metallurgical lab processes. Shift: Monday – Friday 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Pay: $16-$18/Hour based on skills, experience & work ethic

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working with tools and measurements
• Willing to learn hands‑on lab processes

Nice To Haves

• Hardness testing
• Microstructure or case depth analysis
• Lab saw operation
• Sample mounting or polishing

Responsibilities

• Perform manual hardness testing using lab equipment
• Prepare and inspect samples for accurate readings
• Document measurements and maintain clean work areas
• Learn micro‑hardness testing, polishing, and saw operation over time
• Handle cold-mount chemicals safely (non‑burning and low‑risk)
