About The Position

Community Health Alliance is looking for full-time Healthy Pantry Coordinator. Join our talented team of Healthy Pantry Coordinators that focus on serving the community and helping those in need by creating healthy outcomes for patients of every income. We operate six convenient locations throughout Reno and Sparks, providing comprehensive, top-quality medical services, dental and pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, nourishing food pantries, and more. Job Description: The Healthy Pantry Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Community Health Alliance’s Healthy Prescription Food Pantry. This role plays a critical part in supporting patients with food insecurity through healthy food access, coordinating volunteer efforts, and collaborating with internal departments and community partners. The ideal candidate is self-directed, organized, and able to perform physical tasks while delivering exemplary customer service and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic administrative and healthcare office functions.
  • Familiarity with community-based food and health services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to use electronic health records (eClinicalWorks preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
  • Physical ability to lift 40–60 lbs regularly, bend, reach, push, and pull.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to cultural sensitivity and serving diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office, food security program, or community health setting.
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation for community-based activities and inter-site travel is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred education in Community Health Science, Public Health, Nutrition, or Communications.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers and community-based services is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
