About The Position

As a Customer Service Specialist in our Healthy Living Department, you'll provide a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Customer Service / Sales: Provides superior customer service Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise Merchandises product effectively Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales Prepares work schedules for department Provides work direction and training to department Partners Stocking: Stocks and rotates items as needed Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks Organizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the public Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage in department; may create / prepare signage, as needed Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of products Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Requirements

  • 1+ years Experience - Preferred
  • Knowledge of natural foods, vitamins, minerals, macrobiotics, herbs, sports nutrition, organics, homeopathy, and aromatherapy - Required
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills - Required
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills - Required
  • Strong time-management, planning, and organization skills - Required
  • Strong merchandising and selling skills - Required
  • Leadership skills - Required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects / tasks in a fast-paced environment - Required
  • Ability to train partners - Required
  • HS Diploma or GED - Required
  • Completion of Basics of Safety training - Required
