Eliot is seeking a passionate Healthy Families Supervisor to join our Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) division. You will be working with our Healthy Families program, a pregnancy and parenting education initiative designed to help young, first-time parents(up to 23 years old) to create a stable, nurturing environment for their child. The ideal candidate brings understanding about child development, the ability to provide reflective supervision, and culturally responsive care, with a passion for empowering diverse families. You will support staff through modeling and teaching strengths-based, trauma-informed care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with family-centered and strengths-based services in a home visiting model.
  • Experience in supervising diverse staff and providing support in a demanding work environment.
  • Driver’s license and vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
  • BA degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, administrative and reflective supervision to assigned Home Visitors.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities including co-visits, home visit observations and phone calls with families.
  • Ensure families connect with the necessary community services to facilitate children’s growth and development, parents’ own health and wellness, and improve family functioning.
  • Develop effective relationships with staff and families through utilization of motivational interviewing skills, modeling difficult conversations, and the provision of supportive, concrete services.
  • Plan and co–facilitate parent support and parent-child interaction groups, as needed.
