We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic individual to join our team as a HEALTHCARE TECHNICIAN for our Circle Program. The healthcare technician is responsible for providing daily assistance to patients, assisting staff with tasks within their assigned unit, and accommodating patient needs. This position is for the first shift (8:00 am to 4:00 pm). All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, along with a comprehensive background check and a TB test.
Requirements
- Education: It requires a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
- The Certify Addiction Technician (CAT) must be completed within 18 months of the hire date.
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to follow directions.
- CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency covers the costs for initial training and renewals).
- Valid driver's license, insurability, and good driving record (you must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes).
- Basic computer skills are required.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer prior experience working with mentally ill and substance misuse patients.
Responsibilities
- Assisted and provided support to conduct groups, using motivational interviewing skills.
- Ensures that all documentation is complete and submitted by established deadlines.
- Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
- Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and other related activities.
- Maintains the security of assigned units in accordance with CTP policy and procedures.
- Monitors patients and their activities.
- Accurately documents the activities of each patient during the assigned shift.
- Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.
