About The Position

The Senior Accountant, a utility team member responsible for analyzing and preparing monthly journal entries, accounts analysis, financial reports and special projects depending on the needs of the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
• 5 or more years of Healthcare accounting or finance experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly financial statement package, which includes financial statements, bank reconciliations, subaccount reconciliations, statistical reports and operational analytical summaries.
• Provide financial analyses as requested for all affiliates including but not limited to the following: Actual to Budget comparisons Financial variance analysis (actual & budget) Account variance research and analysis
• Assists in preparation of workpaper schedules for annual audit and tax filing processes, provides information for annul cost report and aids in analysis and responses.
• Involvement in special projects that may arise among our system’s operations which may include due diligence, providing hands-on support in the event of staff turnover.
• Partners with affiliates and/or departments on any accounting needs.
