Summary: This role leads operational execution and supports McKeson real estate (MRE) strategy for healthcare practices entering or exiting the network. Responsibilities include coordinating market entry with Business Development (BD) and Integrations Management (IMO) teams, overseeing end-to-end due diligence, and serving as the single point of contact for integration activities such as tax, utilities, lease assignments, and regional introductions. The position drives site engagement, supports enterprise-wide initiatives, and provides real estate advisory throughout the business development cycle. Additional accountabilities include competitive intelligence, issue resolution, and exit management in partnership with business units, practice leaders, real estate, IT, and other internal partners. The role also develops integration frameworks, ensures real estate alignment from proforma through go-live, and advises on growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial (healthcare) real estate and lease structures, including administration and compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex lease terms, financial models, and market analytics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute comprehensive due diligence processes across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong risk assessment and mitigation capabilities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, tailored for various levels of audience from executive to front line.
  • Demonstrated experience managing intricate onboarding and exit strategies for healthcare practices.
  • Highly effective multitasking and prioritization skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Track record of designing and implementing scalable frameworks for repeatable, programmatic execution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare real estate, corporate real estate, mergers & acquisitions, or a comparable strategic role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, finance, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Domestic travel required, estimated at 10–15% for site visits, internal meetings, and integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Real Estate Operations: Manage lease assignments, ensure proper setup of tax, utilities, rent roll, and related obligations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of lease abstraction, risk analysis, and associated project execution. Ensure alignment of real estate decisions with strategic business goals. Provide analytics and program updates within Real Estate and/or to other stakeholders as needed.
  • Due Diligence Management Own end-to-end due diligence execution for all practice transitions. Escalate issues to BD and business unit (BU) leadership to eliminate ambiguity. Coordinate legal support and ensure compliance throughout the process.
  • Market Entry & Transition Coordination: Partner with IMO and BD teams to manage onboarding of new practices. Lead lease review in collaboration with CW analyst; ensure legal team drafts risk summaries. Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for practices during transition.
  • Exit Management & Process Development: Partner with USON strategy and IMO on practice exits, coordinate with BU, IT, and regional teams. Build and refine transition frameworks aligned with BD, IMO, and MRE. Address current workstream gaps and develop scalable processes for future transitions
  • Competitive Intelligence & Issue Resolution: Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on hospital competition, ground lease clauses, and market barriers. Leverage local broker insights and BU relationships; align with government relations. Collaborate with MRE strategy and BU to resolve competitive and operational challenges associated with real estate.
  • Strategic Engagement & Advisory: Conduct site visits and provide light BD support to promote MRE services. Deliver strategic real estate insights to BD on practice growth initiatives and real estate market intelligence. Embed real estate considerations from proforma through go-live.
