The Healthcare Navigation Intern (HNI) will serve as a crucial point of contact for patient’s seeking care in the urology outpatient clinic. In this role, the individual will work in close collaboration with the staff in the Division of Urology at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center to facilitate outpatient office visits. Specifically, this individual will collaborate with schedulers to oversee proper patient booking with providers who can best address their clinical needs, prepare for the visit by ensuring all relevant records are updated and available at the time of visit, provide patients with pre-visit education, and interact with patients during the office visit. There may be independent opportunities to observe surgical cases, interact with residents and physicians, or help conduct scientific research if the candidate is interested. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a busy clinical medicine practice for those interested in pursuing a healthcare career.
