SSC is a faith-based nonprofit and the only free-standing continuum of care senior living community in Sheboygan County. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience in medical billing or healthcare billing
  • Experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, HMOs, or government-funded payers
  • 2–5 years of Business Office or healthcare administration experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, EOBs, remittance advice, and denial codes
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, billing software, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process monthly resident billing statements and invoices
  • Submit, track, and resolve Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance claims
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage
  • Manage accounts receivable, post payments, and reduce bad debt
  • Follow up on denied, rejected, or unpaid claims
  • Review billing documentation for accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of patient and financial data
  • Assist with month-end financial reporting
