We're seeking a dedicated Hospital Liaison Healthcare Assistant to join our compassionate and diverse team in Norwich team- a group of professionals committed to supporting individuals in at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with compassion. The post holder will work across the hospital site (e.g. A&E and admissions wards) to provide rapid access to assessment, brief interventions/harm minimisation and support discharge planning/onward referrals for people attending hospital with substance misuse related issues. Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team.
  • A clear understanding of the need for and the ability to deliver quality services.
  • Good organisational skills and confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to respond to the demands of the post.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in substance misuse or social care (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with your Nursing team to develop care pathways.
  • Supporting service users in opiate and alcohol interventions.
  • Leading harm reduction interventions and conducting physical and mental health assessments.
  • Keeping the people who use our services at the heart of everything you do.
  • Undertaking phlebotomy and ensuring vaccine storage adheres to health guidelines (training will be provided).
