Position manages programs, vendor relationships, process improvement, finance and budgeting, and streamlines and manages plan operations to support initiatives. Focus for this role is on benefits administration and operations, HSA, dental, and vision programs and vendors, and audit and finance support. T he individual ensures operational excellence, accuracy of data, and efficient partnership with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • 5 years’ experience in health and welfare, leave of absence, disability, medical plans, or benefits
  • Experience working in a large employer organization with business units

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS)
  • Experience working in a decentralized environment

Responsibilities

  • Program and Vendor Management Oversee and manage the day-to-day relationship with benefits administration vendor, partnering with internal program vendors, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth enrollment, eligibility experience for employees and retirees.
  • Serve as primary contact for dental and vision plan administration and vendor and broker relationships.
  • Manage and monitor performance guarantees, service level agreements (SLAs), claims experience, and member escalations.
  • Support renewal preparation, RFPs, and plan change implementations.
  • Serve as liaison between H&L department and internal stakeholders such as field HR, HRIS, Payroll, Legal, and Benefits Accounting.

  • Global Support Support the administration of benefits across multiple divisions in key markets.
  • Contributes to developing effective communications.
  • Audit Support Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation, completing data requests, and coordinating vendor responses.
  • Maintain records, policies, and procedures to support audit readiness.
  • Finance, Billing & Budget Tracking Support the development of pricing and internal charges of self-insured benefits programs.
  • Review, reconcile, and process benefit vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Maintain detailed budget tracking tools and support Finance with accruals, variance explanations, and forecasting.
  • Partner with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Additional Responsibilities Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and vendors on file feeds, data integrity, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate participation in benefits surveys and benchmarking studies.
