Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Counsel to join our Employee Benefits & Tax Team. Ideal candidate would have experience and focus related to Health & Welfare plans. Counsel candidate would have at least 8+ years of experience, preferably in a mid-large size law firm. The ideal candidate would have experience advising clients regarding a wide range of issues impacting health and welfare plans, including compliance with the ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, and other applicable laws, reviewing third party administrator and other vendor agreements and advising regarding HIPAA privacy issues. An LLM in Employee Benefits is desirable. Counsel can be resident in our Atlanta, DC, New York, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem office. Open to remote / hybrid candidates who are barred in states with KTS offices.
