About The Position

Find your purpose at CentraCare as a Health Unit Coordinator team member in the Center for Surgical Care. As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you serve a vital role in being the communication link for the unit. Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients/families, guests, and providers as well as managing telephone communications, organizing and maintaining patient charts, and performing clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent experience/knowledge required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.

Nice To Haves

• National Health Unit Coordinator certification preferred.
• Previous experience utilizing an EMR (electronic medical record) preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience with office procedures and equipment with computer experience preferred.
