Health Unit Coordinator
About The Position
Vernon Manor is looking for a Full Time Health Unit Coordinator. This position works Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm, and occasional weekend shifts may be required. The Health Unit Coordinator is a member of the health care team who, under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing and/or Medical Records staff assists with various clerical tasks as assigned. A member of the health care team who, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse, assists residents with daily cares in order to maintain the highest degree of dignity, safety, and independence.
Requirements
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as managing files and records, transcribing orders, designing forms and medical terminology.
