About The Position

Interlude, now Allina Health Restorative Suites, is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join their team in Plymouth, MN. This role is part of a supportive, mission-driven team focused on quality care for residents and families. As a HUC, you will be responsible for transcribing provider and admission orders, maintaining accurate data, scheduling appointments and transportation, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure coordinated care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Allina Health Restorative Suites (AHRS) provides transitional and restorative care, combining clinical and therapeutic expertise with a hospitality-focused environment. AHRS is a subsidiary of Allina, a not-for-profit healthcare provider operating 12 hospitals and over 90 clinics in MN and WI. Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience as a health unit coordinator.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.
  • Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Health information certification.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • PointClickCare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribing provider and admission orders.
  • Entering physician’s orders with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintaining accurate data and electronic medical records for accurate census data.
  • Scheduling medical appointments and transportation.
  • Collaborating with multiple departments to ensure coordinated care.
  • Providing ongoing customer service to residents, family members, and facility visitors.
  • Assisting with inventory and delivery of nursing supplies.
  • Completing other tasks as requested.
