About The Position

As a Vice President Clinical Consultant, you will serve as a senior clinical strategist and subject matter expert within Aon’s National Health Transformation Team (HTT). This role supports employer clients in developing integrated clinical and population health solutions across the full spectrum of physical, behavioral, and chronic health needs. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from one of our US offices. What the day will look like The HTT works with Aon employer clients nationally and globally to support and solve their clinical and delivery system needs. We serve as subject matter experts on client engagements, strategy design, sales, and solution development—meeting with clients and collaborating across Aon’s businesses to improve health, affordability, access, employee experience, safety, and productivity. The Health Transformation Team (HTT) is a group of creative subject matter experts that embodies Aon United as storytellers, growers and connectors. Requirements

  • 12+ years of clinical, population health, health system, or consulting experience, including 5+ years in a client facing consulting role with demonstrated success advising employers on clinical and population health strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem, including delivery systems, care models, utilization and care management (UM/CM), and the clinical vendor landscape across condition, behavioral, and navigation solutions.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver consulting approaches, build and lead expert teams, and translate clinical insights into scalable, market ready solutions for employer clients.
  • Strong analytical orientation, with experience applying clinical, nonclinical, and business measurement—including comfort with claims analytics—to inform strategy and evaluate impact.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication excellence, including executive level presentation skills and a track record of effective client leadership and consulting delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in health-related field with strong emphasis in clinical support
  • Clinical licensure required (RN, NP, PA, RD etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver client-facing clinical projects, including clinical strategy development, audits, delivery system navigation, population health improvement initiatives, success metric work, and high-cost claimant reviews.
  • Develop, perform, and oversee clinical consulting workstreams, such as vendor evaluations and RFPs, care management and utilization reviews, integrated care model assessments, and specialty program evaluations (e.g., mental health, chronic conditions, navigation, virtual care).
  • Use analytics to create scalable, evidence-based solutions, identify clinical gaps, evaluate vendor effectiveness, measuring outcomes, and designing interventions that improve health and productivity while impacting employer cost trends.
  • Partner across internal and external stakeholdersto design new products, clinical tools, and market-ready solutions; support go-to-market activities; and contribute to thought leadership through articles, white papers, and speaking engagements.
  • Provide people leadership and mentorship, supporting the development of HTT colleagues and fostering cross-practice collaboration to deliver integrated, enterprise-wide clinical solutions.
