About The Position

This employee performs entry-level preventative maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. Works under close supervision assists in monitoring building systems operations and performance. Utilizes several entry-level trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling, sheet finish, and repairing mud and tape holes in the wall.

Requirements

• Health Services Laborer I: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); no exceptions.
• Health Services Laborer I: At least six (6) months of experience in a related field.
• Health Services Laborer II: One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 1-1/2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Health Services Laborer II: At least two (2) years of experience in a related field.
• Health Services Laborer II: An individual should know order processing systems, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Nice To Haves

• Health Services Laborer II: Certification in welding, locksmith, carpentry, OR Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrical apprentice card. Other applicable certifications may be accepted.
