Why JGM Work on large-scale structural steel projects Be part of a growing, award-winning organization Help shape the future of our workforce through training and development initiatives like Falcon Academy Strong leadership support and commitment to safety as a core value What You’ll Do Safety Leadership & Culture Champion JGM’s HOME Safety Culture : Home Safe Every Day Own Your Safety Mindful of Hazards Everyone is Responsible Maintain a visible, on-the-floor presence engaging directly with shop teams Lead behavior-based safety initiatives that drive accountability at all levels Compliance & Risk Management Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs including: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Confined Space Fall Protection PPE compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA , state, and local safety regulations Training & Workforce Development Partner with Operations and the Training Specialist to integrate safety into daily workflows Deliver hands-on training for fabrication teams Support onboarding and ongoing safety education initiatives Incident Prevention & Investigation Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis Track and report key safety metrics (TRIR, near misses, leading indicators) Identify trends and implement corrective actions Continuous Improvement Conduct regular safety audits and inspections Improve processes related to: Rigging and crane operations Welding and fabrication safety Material handling and heavy equipment use What You Bring Experience 5+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing, heavy industry or industrial construction environment required: Structural steel fabrication highly preferred Proven ability to work hands-on in a shop environment Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of: Welding processes (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW preferred) Overhead cranes, rigging, and material handling Heavy plate fabrication and industrial equipment
