About The Position

The Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist (HSE) will assist and manage the Safety, Sustainability, and Incident Management Systems for the Miami Dolphins, Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, Miami Open, and all other events at Hard Rock Stadium. They will help to manage the vision and drive the safety culture organization wide. This role will also serve as the champion of HSE certifications and change the way the HSE team drives accountability, adaptability, and consistency of the programs.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years in HSE program management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Sustainability/Safety or closely related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required in English and a plus in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Proactive and able to work well under pressure and under short deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Organized and able to develop processes to streamline work.
  • Must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude at all times with a team-first mentality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required in English and a plus in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and conduct trainings for OSHA Compliance.
  • Develop and maintain the HSE standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee and manage incident investigations.
  • Compile and complete data analysis of waste, water, energy as it relates to the upkeep of our sustainability certifications.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives across all company verticals.
  • Drive a strong HSE philosophy and implement programs designed to effectively change behavior and prevent injury using data- and research-driven methods.
  • Analyze and independently resolve a variety of difficult situations and problems using timely decision making.
  • Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of management, team members, vendors, and fans
  • Manage planning and collaboration with other business functions in a way that is mutually beneficial and drives continuous improvement.
