The Role & Your Impact As an EHS Specialist, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining occupational health, safety, and environmental programs across our New Berlin facility. You will partner closely with the site stakeholders to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and a proactive safety culture. Key responsibilities include: Support the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements Develop and deliver required safety and environmental training Lead incident investigations and manage incidents and safety observations in the EHSQ system Support and maintain management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, PPE assessments, and industrial hygiene surveys Develop and maintain Lock Out/Tag Out procedures in partnership with Maintenance and Engineering Perform safety and environmental compliance audits and ensure corrective actions are completed Support recycling, sustainability, emergency response, ergonomics, and fire prevention programs Collaborate cross‑functionally and contribute to regional and global EHS initiatives, including limited travel (<10%) What You'll Need to Be Successful

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing safety
  • Working knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and CFR 1926 regulations
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately, including HIPAA‑related matters
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, ARM, ALCH, or similar
  • OSHA 10, 30, or 501 training certifications
  • Experience in food‑grade or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, or OHSAS 18001 standards
  • Experience supporting capital projects or leading safety‑focused improvement initiatives
  • Interest in sustainability and employee engagement initiatives
