The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist supports Manufacturing North by implementing, coordinating, and continuously improving site HSE programs. This role strengthens compliance, drives risk reduction, and enhances the site’s safety culture by leading incident investigations, conducting training, facilitating risk assessments, and ensuring timely closure of actions at our Manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX (FTW). Specifics include: Responsible for work encompassing activities related to the environment (including the broader community impacted by environmental hazards) and employees including: Creating and implementing health, safety, occupational and environmental programs to prevent injuries and illnesses within the workplace and environmental accidents. Inspecting workplace and environmental incidents in accordance with company procedures and implementing corrective actions Ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements related to environmental and employee health and safety and identifying areas for improvement Developing and managing an environmental and employee health & safety training plan. Maintaining relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the environmental performance of the organization. Lead and conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and ensure timely documentation and closure of corrective actions. Analyze recurring trends and drive prevention strategies to reduce risk and improve safety performance. Deliver required HSE training for associates, contractors, and leaders, and maintain compliant training records. Support new‑hire onboarding with HSE-focused orientation materials and sessions. Maintain accurate weekly/monthly HSE metrics, dashboards, and required report submissions. Prepare and present materials for HSE governance meetings, committees, and leadership updates. Lead formal risk assessments (P‑SIF, JSA, HIRA, etc.) and partner with departments to implement effective controls and verify action closure. Serve as program owner for assigned HSE programs, ensuring they meet regulatory, corporate, and internal requirements. Conduct program reviews, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives across assigned areas. Lead Manufacturing North safety committee meetings and support leadership walkthroughs focused on associate engagement. Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure and tracking of assigned audit and department-owned actions. Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Quality, and other functions to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations and provide technical guidance on compliance.
