Health, Safety, & Environment Intern- Summer 2026
About The Position
The goal of HydraForce’s internship program is to develop Health, Safety & Environment for our organization while providing support to our Manufacturing groups. We structure the internship to allow candidates the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to our industry. Project tasks reflect an increasing level of technical complexity based on demonstrated proficiency and success on prior assignments. Although there is no guarantee of employment, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into an entry-level Health, Safety & Environment position upon graduation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Sciences, Safety Management, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety concepts preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only. Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with workplace safety inspections and audits
- Help maintain HSE records, reports, and training documentation
- Support incident reporting and investigations
- Assist in updating safety policies, procedures, and signage
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Support environmental initiatives
- Assist with tracking corrective actions and follow-ups
- Perform other HSE-related duties as assigned
