As an Health & Safety Engineer candidates that are initially deemed qualified , you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry best practices. Through audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training programs, you’ll help create a safer workplace while minimizing environmental impact. What You’ll Do: Support the implementation and maintenance of site-specific environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and JSR requirements. Collect and analyze data on incidents, accidents, environmental emissions, and other EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Assist in developing and delivering engaging EHS training programs to educate employees and promote a culture of safety. Assist in safety engagement by supporting awareness initiatives and fostering a proactive safety mindset across the organization. Conduct site safety inspections and actively contribute to the safety committee to ensure a hazard-free workplace. Participate in incident investigations, identify root causes, and support the implementation of effective corrective actions. Assist in hazard and risk assessments, environmental impact evaluations, and EHS audits to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
