About The Position

As a Health and Safety Engineer II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be
instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and health responsibility within
the organization. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of
employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainability.

You will report directly to our Senior HSE Manager, and you’ll work out of our
Torrance, CA location.

In this role, you will impact our business by ensuring the safety and well-being
of our employees, customers, and the environment. Your contributions will not
only protect our people and assets but also enhance our reputation as a
responsible and sustainable organization.

Responsibilities

• Implements and maintains company Health & Safety programs while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Proactively involved in the recognition, evaluation and control of Health & Safety hazards.
• Improves facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes Health & Safety recommendations accordingly.
• Proactively works with leadership and front-line employees to create a safe work environment and resolve Health & Safety concerns.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating Health & Safety policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on best practices and pre-established guidelines to meet the requirements of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision of the Torrance HSE&F Manager.
