About The Position

The Health Resource Coordinator (HRC) will lead community engagement and program management efforts under the WIC CIAO initiative. This is a metric-driven role reporting directly to the QCH Childcare Network Director. This is a full-time, grant-funded temporary position, with potential for future funding or internal transfer opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Human Services, Sociology, or related field OR
  • Two (2)+ years of experience in project management, public health, education, or human services
  • Familiarity with and/or participation in the WIC Program
  • Experience in data collection and metric-driven community outreach
  • Ability to travel efficiently throughout Queens (mass transit or car)
  • Strong time management, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask
  • Strong professional judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in community outreach and resource awareness
  • Cultural sensitivity when working with marginalized families
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Teams, Zoom, Google Docs
  • Experience creating and utilizing Microsoft Forms for data collection
  • Bilingual Spanish (required) – fluent reading, writing, and speaking
  • NYC DOE PETS Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct community outreach to engage WIC-eligible parents and key stakeholders
  • Organize WIC Ambassador trainings and monthly meetings
  • Maintain accurate contact information for WIC inquiries and referrals
  • Assist families with referrals and non-emergency parenting guidance
  • Conduct WIC pre-screenings to determine eligibility
  • Provide approved referrals and family wellness resources
  • Host in-person workshops, baby showers, and educational events
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate WIC-related webinars (English and Spanish or other language)
  • Implement WIC surveys and collect data to measure program impact
  • Maintain accurate, measurable data tracking and reporting
  • Provide verbal and written translation as needed
  • Participate in all required QCH, QCCN, and WIC meetings
  • Support the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) through monthly compliance visits to licensed family-based childcare programs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the QCCN Director
