In this role, you will be responsible for the full scope of statewide program planning, administration, development, management, implementation, and evaluation of grant-funded services for Alaska's seniors and individuals experiencing a disability. This will include managing multiple grant programs with varying requirements and structures. You'll also: Partner closely with grantees and community-based agencies to ensure effective program implementation and use of grant funds. Work collaboratively with state and community partners. Manage a variety of service delivery programs to ensure effective, efficient service delivery. SDS's mission is to promote health, well-being, and safety for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and vulnerable adults by facilitating access to quality services and supports that foster independence, personal choice, and dignity. The Grants Unit focuses on working with federal, state, and local partners to develop high-quality, culturally relevant programs that meet the unique needs of our beneficiaries across the state. By joining the SDS Grants Unit, you'll be joining a small team committed to the well-being and safety of Alaskan seniors and individuals experiencing disabilities. The position is a member of the general government union; start and stop times can be flexible between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm; and hybrid telework options are available after the initial orientation period. This position will be located in the Anchorage SDS office building off of Bragaw St or in the Juneau SDS Court Plaza office building. The incumbent will travel intermittently to conduct grantee site visits and may be necessary to attend meetings or conferences.
