As a camp staff member, you’ll play a vital role in helping girls grow in confidence, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships in a supportive environment. We are seeking a high-energy Health Officer who will work closely with the Camp Director to develop a healthcare plan in accordance with local, state, federal, ACA, Council, and GSUSA standards. This individual will coordinate ongoing healthcare at camp which includes dispensing medication, treating patients, recommending individuals for further care, and supervising sanitary conditions. Excited to be outdoors and work with youth. Interested or experienced in camp and guiding youth in a variety of activities. Willing to stay in Mindoro, WI for the entire summer and live onsite with our campers. Energetic and has a desire to grow future girl leaders. Certified or able to become Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certified. Wisconsin certification as one of the following, along with a Medication Administration Certification: Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Wilderness First Aid Athletic Trainer Practical Nurse Registered Nurse Physician Public health, school nursing, or pediatric nursing experience is preferred. Visual/auditory ability to respond to environmental and other hazards. Ability to respond calmly in a crisis situation. Excellent customer service, including the ability to maintain a calm demeanor with adults in conflict. Willing to subscribe to the philosophy of the Girl Scout program and enroll as a Girl Scout member. In possession of a valid Drivers' License and hold proof of insurance.
