About The Position

Trinity Oaks Health & Rehab is seeking a Health Information Manager responsible for overseeing health information processes and ensuring the integrity of medical records. The role requires attention to detail and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong attention to detail for medical record accuracy
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Applied knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, legal aspects of health information, and coding preferred
  • Ambulatory throughout all facility areas
  • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds
  • Desk/computer work, bending, stooping, reaching

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Manage and troubleshoot issues with the EHR
  • Train and support staff on clinical software
  • Respond to health information consultant reports
  • Perform diagnosis coding (ICD-10)
  • Conduct quality improvement audits
  • Monitor physician visit compliance
  • Retain and release authorized information from EMR
  • Maintain Medicare/Medicaid forms and registries
  • Assist with admissions and discharges
  • Uphold HIPAA and privacy standards
  • Reflect Trinity Oaks’ mission, vision, and values in daily interactions
  • Other duties as assigned
