About The Position

The Health Information Manager is responsible for the overall management, integrity, security, and accessibility of patient health information across the organization. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, supports quality improvement initiatives, and oversees the effective use of electronic health records (EHR). The Health Information Manager plays a key role in data governance, staff training, and continuous process improvement to support high-quality patient care. This role also manages the medical records specialist.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, or related field required
  • 3–5 years of experience in health information management or medical records
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems required
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analystical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare quality, compliance, or data analysis preferred
  • RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) preferred.
