Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in clinical/healthcare settings and RHIT Certification.
  • Preferred experience with word processing and computer systems.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record Systems (EHRS) is highly favored.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and process digital medical records at an enterprise level.
  • Recommend and provide training on the EHR system's medical records processing and storage.
  • Lead the seamless scanning of paper medical records into the EHR System.
  • Pioneer the precise import of eFax and eDocuments into patient charts.
  • Monitor and maintain work queues using document indexing systems.
  • Ensure cross-coverage of department functions and strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Foster team dynamics and maintain effective communication within the team.
  • Support Legacy's policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Participate actively in required meetings and safety training.
  • Report safety concerns and adhere to exposure control plans.
