About The Position

Under the direction of ministry HIM management, the Document Imaging Technician is responsible for receiving and processing all medical record pickups, prepping, scanning, indexing, and filing. The Document Imaging Technician is responsible for preparing documents appropriately and indexing documentation in the appropriate patient record, appropriate visit and appropriate record location. This individual is also responsible for verifying every image to ensure readability, quality, and completeness. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years HIM/Medical Records related experience.
• 1 year HIM/Medical Record department or similar office work experience.
• 1 year experience with imaging equipment.
• 1 year Electronic medical record experience.
