About The Position

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for a Health & Human Services Coordinator. This position is a regular, fulltime, benefit eligible position that will oversee the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) - Youth Program at Waukesha County. This position will work in partnership with leaders from the CCS- Adult program. Key tasks will include ensuring fidelity to the program model, directly or indirectly participating in hiring and training decisions, collaboration with community stakeholders, ensuring compliance with DHS 35 and Medicaid rules, and partnering with colleagues in other HHS divisions such as fiscal partners, the compliance team, medical records. The person will oversee a team that includes supervisors, service facilitators, mental health professionals, and quality assurance/vendor relations staff. Guided by HFS 36, CCS provides a flexible array of individualized community based psychosocial rehabilitation services authorized by a licensed mental health professional to consumers with mental health or substance use issues across their lifespan. The intent of the services and supports is to provide for a maximum reduction of the effects of the individual’s mental and/or substance abuse concerns; to restore consumers to the best possible level of functioning; and to facilitate their recovery. While the CCS program is licensed through the Clinical Services Division, the CCS Youth Program Coordinator will function within the Coordinated Services division. The coordinator will have extensive interaction and collaboration with Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS), Child Protective Services (CPS), Youth Justice (YJ) and Mental Health providers. Acting in concert with these other disciplines, the Coordinator will develop enhanced supports for youth experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns. The CCS Youth Program Coordinator will have prior CCS experience and possess excellent leadership skills; comfort leading people, an ability to manage through systems and experience building teams. An individual with composure, organizational agility and willingness to deal with shifting demands will be best suited for this task.

Requirements

  • A. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in sociology, social work, psychology, business, healthcare, or public administration, or a closely related field. OR B. Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and a current license to practice as a registered nurse in Wisconsin.
  • Four (4) years of responsible professional work experience in social work, clinical psychology, counseling, or nursing in a human service agency. One year of which was in a supervisory capacity.
  • A master's degree from a recognized college or university in business, healthcare, or public administration, social work, sociology, psychology, nursing or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the required work experience.
