About The Position

Our Health Data Analysts perform research and analysis of complex data regarding business decision-making, network utilization and/or cost containment information. Evaluates, writes, and presents utilization and cost containment reports and makes recommendations based on relevant findings. This HDA role supports the Product team while interacting with various BCI departments, and offers flexible hybrid work location (WFH + in-office onsite days) at our Meridian Idaho campus. #LI-Hybrid Required education, knowledge and experience includes: a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Subject area or related field of study; or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college), with preference for 2-4/+ years data analysis experience that spans: Knowledge of SQL and Tableau Ability to build ad hoc reports Health Insurance/Healthcare knowledge Knowledge of compliance, requirements, procedures Ability to be a self-starter, while balancing multiple tasks and meeting benchmarks Collaboration and communication skills Your day may look like: Access data warehouse and data marts to produce and/or develop relevant data and reports to support revenue and payment systems. Identify and resolve complex issues focused on data discrepancies, and transmission errors. Perform various types of analysis and research i.e. Diagnosis, utilization, financial, compliance, product performance, group cost containment, corporate cost containment, risk, etc. Collaborate with business functional subject matter experts to validate findings and provide insights and recommendations specific to the scope of the analysis. Act as a liaison between IT, operations, and external vendors/clients to provide support and ensure data integrity Support new client implementations Analyze business systems data to fulfill information requests by reviewing production processes, data models, and data-entry procedures where standard reports are need, but not available. Identify variation and outliers in healthcare costs and/or services and participates in identifying and implementing solutions in collaboration with internal partners. Participate in the development, maintenance and ongoing staff education of data and reporting standards for the organization. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $66,353 to $92,894 as Analyst I; $78,064 to $117,095 as Analyst II. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance). The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer. Requirements
