About The Position

The position involves providing supervision to departmental staff and demonstrating successful leadership by selecting and building talent. The role is responsible for performance management of assigned staff, including recognition, performance evaluations, and formal coaching and counseling, making decisions or recommendations regarding necessary disciplinary actions. The individual will also be responsible for making recommendations regarding hiring or firing, and the advancement and promotion of assigned staff or any other change status of assigned staff. The position requires demonstrating core leadership behaviors and a team-oriented approach, as well as effective communication with staff. The individual will build a successful team and align team performance, ensuring employees receive the necessary instruction and training to complete their assigned job responsibilities while ensuring compliance with the training plan. Additionally, the role involves managing the work of the assigned team, assigning duties, providing daily guidance, and monitoring staff performance.

Requirements

  • Possesses specific advanced knowledge and skills, including written and verbal communication skills, computational, computer and technical skills, and mathematical knowledge.
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree program with a recognized major or comparable experience.
  • Two years of leadership experience or five years of progressively greater responsibility or significant contributions to projects and initiatives demonstrating leadership skills.
  • Ability to prepare complex documents in Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data.
  • Ability to develop sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Requires Medical Assistant/LVN Certification at locations without a Floor Supervisor.

  • Ensures employees adhere to company workflows, procedures, and policies.
  • Identifies trend offenses and reports to the manager.
  • Recommends workflow and procedure changes based on observations.
  • Assists manager in ensuring department expenses stay within budget.
  • Maintains compliance with all employee-related reporting and tracking.
  • Develops, implements, and tracks operational plans to improve health center performance goals.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving customer service, patient throughput, and patient flow.
  • Ensures patient information is collected, verified, updated, and financial options reviewed during registration.
  • Completes insurance eligibility verification.
  • Performs legal documentation and chart completion according to policy and procedures.
  • Completes periodic chart audits to ensure audit readiness.
  • Conducts health center rounding to ensure high customer service levels and compliance with guidelines.
  • Handles patient complaints and develops solutions to problems.
  • Collaborates with other department supervisors to resolve patient issues.
  • Ensures all relevant logs are properly maintained.
  • Ensures supplies, medication, forms, and equipment are ordered and in stock.
  • Participates in and assists with facilitating staff meetings.
  • Facilitates efficient patient flow by coordinating front and back office services.
  • Utilizes dashboard and metric tools to ensure efficient patient visits.
  • Maximizes appointment schedules throughout the shift.
  • Prepares and posts staff schedules at least one month in advance.
  • Administers initial and annual skills/competency assessments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
