About The Position

Under general supervision of the District nurse and administration to provide a variety of specialized health care services for students who are health impaired and/or have specialized health care needs to administer first aid to students and staff members; to maintain health service information and records; and to do related work as required. DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION: APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 5, 2026 - 4:00 p.m. LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: Student Year Calendar WORK SITE: Districtwide Services WORK SCHEDULE: 6.5 hours/day, 5 days/week, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a health education setting
  • equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, preferably supplemented by courses in child health, first aid, or related field; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities
  • Willing to take additional training to treat specific medical conditions to permit students to effectively participate in instruction
  • Current hands-on First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • possession of a valid California Driver's License
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from the most recent employer)

  • This position is open to all qualified current permanent FUESD employees only.

  • After submitting a completed application there is a MANDATORY written test for this classification on March 6, 2026 promptly at 9:00 a.m.
  • satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol-screening test, fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray.
