Officer of the Day (J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center)
About The Position
There are eight Officers of the Day (OD), 41st shifts and 4 3rd shifts assigned respectively to each of the three residential areas at JIRDC. The ODs are directly supervised by the Sr HCS and perform daily scheduling adjustments ensuring adequate deployment of available staff to each of eleven homes and three resource centers (1st shift M-F), supervisory rounding, providing feedback and assistance as needed. The duties include, but are not limited to redeploying home staff, adhering to pull lists, to areas in need of additional staff secondary to call outs, new 1:1’s or med appointments, trips etc…, communicating need to hold red dots, compiling OD reports for worked shifts, preparing OD reports for upcoming 72 hours. Making sure the absences, leave early, tardies, updating master schedules for daily alterations such as UL and implementation of call out restrictions and weekend make up shifts.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Special Condition for Continued Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
