Health Care Technician II - 2 Birch - Cherry Hospital
About The Position
The Adult Admissions Unit is an inpatient unit serving individuals from the ages of 18 years of age and older. The objective of the AAU unit is to provide a safe and structured environment for crisis stabilization. As an essential member of a multidisciplinary care team, the HCT II practices therapeutic principles when providing care to the patients they serve. Nursing care is performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a 3rd shift position (11pm - 7:30am).
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Special Condition for Continued Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
- As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotions and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
- Knowledge and skills to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
- Must successfully pass all required parts of CPI's Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
