About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct hands on supervision for the HCT I's while working directly with residents. Training provided through modeling, observation, and feedback. Training is competency based and works with residents across all settings. HCT II / Shift Supervisor will be trained in a variety of disciplines. HCT II / Shift Supervisor will supervise approximately 10 Health Care Technician I positions directly.

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
• As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Documented experience working with individuals with disabilities, computer skills, CPR certification, and knowledge of person centered planning.
• Documented experience with use of computers.
• Supervisory experience in a large residential facility and van driver's license.
• Two years of closely related work experience.
• Documented experience in providing daily living activities and carrying out goal programs such as personal care in areas such as bathing, dressing, tooth brushing, feeding, changing attends on adults, communication and behavior modification.
