We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to support our client's mission of providing useful information and data points to drive consumer choice. As a client-facing quality data specialist on our health team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on consumer decision-making. How You’ll Contribute: As a quality data specialist on our team, you’ll: Use your data analytics expertise to support client and stakeholder relationships. Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of large quality data sets. Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations. Apply consulting and communications skills and data analytics expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience. Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL and Python, and Microsoft Office Suite. Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes. Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphic presentations and tabular views. Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across CMS and the broader health market. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience performing data management with health data in SQL and Python, including using Databricks or Snowflake, and big data tools or frameworks such as Spark
  • Experience analyzing health insurance claims data in the Centralized Data Repository (CDR), Integrated Data Repository (IDR), or Chronic Conditions Warehouse (CCW)
  • Experience with data validation, cleansing, and enrichment techniques to improve the accuracy and completeness of data
  • Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data
  • Experience with CMS Quality Reporting Programs and quality measure calculation
  • Experience developing and assessing benchmarking methodologies in support of quality measurement
  • Ability to build and maintain data integrations with internal and external data sources and APIs
  • Ability to communicate and clearly explain complex methodologies, and present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Health Administration, Economics, Statistics, or CS field

  • Experience with the QPP or MIPS programs
  • Experience with client management
  • Experience with the federal procurement and proposal process
  • Experience with Agile engineering practices
  • Knowledge of healthcare data such as the Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System (PECOS), Master Beneficiary Summary File (MBSF), Standard Analytic Files (SAF), or Prescription Drug Event (PDE) data
