Health and Wellness Teacher
About The Position
Responsible for teaching Health Education classes to middle school students entirely in Spanish for dual-language program school. Specific duties include: (1)Developing and administering Health Education classes entirely in Spanish (including health and nutrition, biological functions, and mental wellbeing); (2) Teaching knowledge and understanding of physiology, health and nutrition, anatomy, and biological functions entirely in Spanish; (3) Maintaining records, grading, and reporting for student activities, achievement, and attendance; (4) Encouraging parental involvement in students’ education and ensuring effective communication with students and parents; (5) Collaborating with other staff members and participating in faculty meetings; (6) Participating in student and parent activities, including curriculum nights, parent/teacher conferences, and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s (any)
- Minnesota teaching license
- Spanish language proficiency
- successful completion of criminal background check
