About The Position

Pulaski County Parks & Recreation department is seeking to fill a full-time Health and Wellness Supervisor position. This role is responsible for creating, coordinating, and implementing health and wellness programs that serve county employees, residents, businesses, and other stakeholders within both indoor and outdoor recreational facilities. The supervisor will plan, implement, and manage programs that enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being, with a focus on education, engagement, and data-driven evaluation. Responsibilities include organizing workshops, coordinating screenings, promoting healthy lifestyles, tracking progress, and fostering a supportive health culture. The supervisor will also oversee operations related to health and wellness at Pulaski County Sportsplex. Additionally, this position will supervise and coordinate both county-employed personal trainers and approved private trainers providing services within Pulaski County facilities. The role reports to the Assistant Director. Work hours involve a flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and/or weekends, depending on business needs during specific times of the year, as dictated by a particular sport. Eight-hour days are required, but the schedule allows flexibility throughout a seven-day workweek based on seasonal demands. Some periods may require working beyond a standard forty-hour workweek. The salary scale for this position is $40,833 - $66,649 and is commensurate upon education and experience. Educational Requirements: The applicant must possess CPR and First Aid certifications or obtain them within 90 days, and must also earn a Personal Trainer certification within the same period. A relevant Bachelor's Degree is required, along with experience in health, wellness, and working with the public. Parks and Recreation experience is highly preferred.
