About The Position

This is a Health Aid-Physical Therapy position located at the Arkansas Health Center in Benton, AR, which is a long-term nursing home facility for residents with behavioral issues. The Health Aide works under direct supervision of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants. This position is responsible for assisting therapist in treatment programs designed to aid residents in becoming physically functional. This position is governed by agency/institution policy and federal/state guidelines. Position is located at the Arkansas Health Center in Benton, AR. This position starts at a Special Entry Rate of $33,280.00Annually. Employees may be required to work rotating shifts or hours other than normal working hours. Responsibilities

  • Assists Physical Therapist with residents as assigned.
  • Provides safe transfers of residents using appropriate transfer methods.
  • Provides various therapy treatments as instructed by PT.
  • Informs PT & nursing of progress or problems that arise.
  • Accurately record all pertinent information on the resident in a timely manner.
  • Completes QA Checks as instructed.
  • Files & maintains dept. records.
  • Transports residents to and from therapy.
  • Maintains clean safe work environment.
  • Cleans equipment.
  • Orders supplies.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Support mobility by helping patients walk, repositioning them in bed, or assisting with transfers.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions, behaviors, or needs to medical staff.
  • Provide basic health monitoring, such as measuring vital signs (under supervision).
  • Assist healthcare staff with non-invasive procedures and basic medical care as directed.
  • Transport patients within the facility for medical treatments, therapies, or recreational activities.
  • Ensure proper infection control and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
  • Assist in stocking medical supplies, sanitizing equipment, and preparing treatment areas.
  • Follow state regulations, safety protocols, and facility policies to ensure patient and staff safety.
