About The Position

Reinhardt University is currently accepting applications for a Head Women’s Volleyball Coach for the Athletics Department. Position Summary: The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach is a member of the Reinhardt University Athletic Department. The coach is responsible for maintaining positive public relations for the Athletic Department and for the development of the student athletes within the intercollegiate volleyball program. More importantly, having the ability to run an effective program beyond the strategic planning of competition.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree- A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Collegiate Head/Assistant Coach.

Responsibilities

Coaching and teaching volleyball skills.
Supervision of their respective staff
Prepares and maintains budget and inventory of supplies and equipment
Reports on the needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to the Director of Athletics
Recruits’ student athletes and meets required roster player goal
Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops, etc.
Organizes and conducts practice sessions.
Works with the Athletic Operations Manager and Director of Athletics regarding publicity and promotion of his/her team
Works with the Director of Athletics on scheduling games.
Furnishes information regarding team roster for eligibility, etc. to the Director of Athletics
Responsible for developing training rules and conduct of athletes.
Acceptance of service on university committee’s
Clear understanding of NAIA rules and eligibility requirements
Attendance at convocations, graduations, etc.
Develop a work schedule (office hours) that makes him/her accessible to the student athletes and other schools.
Responsible for other details or any other assignment by the Executive Director of Athletics.
Ability to lift equipment and set up equipment for practice and games
